This installation in Limerick City Gallery of Art is based on a game of bingo recorded in Askeaton in 2008 and a gallery based installation later that year . It started with organising a game of bingo for one night only in the Community Hall…
This was the first game of bingo in Askeaton in over 25 years. The last time it had been played it was in the late 1970’s, to fundraise for a swimming pool. Over two hundred people attended this game and bingo has been held once a month in the town since then.
Follow the iteration in Limerick City Gallery of Art in 2008 it also toured swimming pools in UK, Norway, Sweden and Finland in 2009 & 2010
