2002, 2 channel digital soundwork
Ideal Homes was originally released as limited edition CD in February 2002. It’s comprised of narratives and amplified drawing. The narratives are tours of the dream homes and were developed with residents of Kimmage Manor Way, Dublin 12 over the previous 18 months. The recorded drawings were made by revisiting some of the original conversations and were made by amplifying/processing the sounds of the drawing surface. Ideal Homes was commissioned by South Dublin County Council as part of the InContext2 public art programme.
